Kaye Contracting Company History:
The card at left dates from
1980 when Gary Kaye started in the landscape business at age 13. After
earning a B.S. in Landscape Architecture from Cornell University in 1989, he
worked for golf course contractor Paul Clute on many high-profile projects throughout
the U.S. He landed in Phoenix in 1995 on three big golf jobs. As those completed
he decided the time was right to start his own firm again.
Marietta Del Bello joined Gary along with other dedicated employees and for the
next decade Golf Engineering Associates built a solid reputation and 100+
project list. That firm still does 5-8 golf jobs a year.
In 2005 the Kaye team decided to get back into construction by founding Kaye Contracting Company while keeping the design company going full force. Golf gave us strong technical capabilities on large acreage outdoor jobs: GPS mapping, AutoCAD design, irrigation, drainage, earthmoving and grassing. Typical landscape contractors don't have those technical skills, which is why Kaye Contracting presents a unique approach to big jobs for general contractors, architects and owners.
