Kaye Contracting Company History: Gary Kaye started in the landscape business at age 13. Knocking door-to-door and pushing a lawn mower he was able to build a pretty respectable business throughout the Hyannis, Cape Cod area. After earning a B.S. in Landscape Architecture from Cornell University in 1989 he worked for golf course contractor Paul Clute on many high-profile projects throughout the U.S. He landed in Phoenix in 1995 on three big golf jobs* and decided to stay. |
As those
jobs completed
he decided the time was right to start his own firm again and for the
next decade Golf Engineering Associates
built a solid reputation and 100+ project list. GEA still does 5-8 golf
jobs a year with a heavy presence in Mexico, the U.S. Southwest and Asia. Golf
Engineering has worked with Jack Nicklaus, Robert Von Hagge, Robert Trent Jones
II, Rees Jones, the Dye family and other noted architects. GEA is
available for new construction and renovations, pump stations, GPS mapping, as-builts
and irrigation.
In
2005 we founded Kaye Contracting Company while keeping our design department
going full force. Golf gave us strong technical capabilities on large acreage
outdoor jobs: GPS mapping, AutoCAD design, irrigation, drainage, earthmoving and
grassing. Typical landscape contractors don't have those technical skills which
is why Kaye Contracting presents a unique approach to big jobs for general
contractors, architects and owners. The Design-Build approach is for people who
want to simplify their projects and deal with one firm. It is economical and
generally saves valuable time. With our dedicated staff of seasoned industry
veterans, Kaye Contracting Company is staking a claim as one of Arizona's best
